Most likely last update.
Tomorrow is "official" presentation.
Received video clips from all German team members, merged them into one film to be shown during presentation.
Car now accelerates and decelerates realistically.
Strange bug remains - when pressing "A" on Xbox controller, game goes immediately to the Credits screen, regardless of current game mode. Keyboard works as planned.
Lap timer and counter have yet to be implemented.
We'll see what happens in the future :-)

12-7 Update
-Jasmin modified the Sounds class to include SoundEffectsInstances; this eliminated an issue where the menu music would stop playing when the user navigates the menu
-I added gameplay music; music switches when user goes from Menu state to Game state. Also added golf cart idling noise when the game runs; have yet to figure out how to stop the sound effect when switching back to the menu. Jasmin is working on it :-D
-Claus is bringing a camera tomorrow to record their section of the presentation
-Shane is working on the powerpoint for Wed/Fri. Have yet to see what content is added

German-American Team Communication T2
[10:25:33 AM] Mike Kotsch says: hey there
[10:26:20 AM] Shane Moore says: hey
[10:26:24 AM] Mike Kotsch says: seems like we had two groups here working with one group of you *group II*
[10:26:40 AM] Shane Moore says: yeah i think thats how it was broken up
[10:26:48 AM] Mike Kotsch says: so what to do?
[10:26:57 AM] Mike Kotsch says: do i have to search for another group?
[10:27:45 AM] Shane Moore says: no, i dont think so. I think that you guys have had more teams than we did, so some of your groups are doubling up
[10:28:00 AM] Mike Kotsch says: ok!
[10:28:24 AM] Mike Kotsch says: the other guys said that you are going to do the models?[10:28:33 AM] Shane Moore says: so i dont know if you can like combine groups on your end[10:28:46 AM] Mike Kotsch says: or am i still doing modelling stuff?
[10:28:50 AM] Mike Kotsch says: carts and so on?
[10:28:57 AM] Mike Kotsch says: ok
[10:29:12 AM] Shane Moore says: I am working with programming the models, and i think chris has some model and experience with that.
[10:29:22 AM] Mike Kotsch says: hm
[10:31:36 AM] Shane Moore says: i think right now we are in the process of converting our code from XNA 2.0 to XNA 3.0
[10:31:41 AM] Shane Moore says: hopefully everything works
[10:31:51 AM] Mike Kotsch says: :)
[10:32:07 AM] Mike Kotsch says: what else can i do?
[10:32:16 AM] Mike Kotsch says: i started working on the carts.
[10:32:26 AM] Mike Kotsch says: what about the environment?
[10:33:04 AM] Shane Moore says: ron and i, are trying to figure that out, we are unsure how to use the environment in XNA
10:34:19 AM] Mike Kotsch says: can you send me a table which shows up who is in group two and which tasks do you work at?
[10:34:43 AM] Shane Moore says: yeah, give me one sec.
[10:35:29 AM] Mike Kotsch says: k
[10:35:36 AM] Shane Moore says: Basically its Ron-our main coder, he is working on setting up the classes and workign on the menu right now.
[10:36:40 AM] Shane Moore says: I (shane) am working on helping ron, and working with the programming of 3d models
[10:37:12 AM] Shane Moore says: Chris is working on most of our art assets, he designed our first cart model, and some character designs
[10:37:42 AM] Mike Kotsch says: ok
[10:37:56 AM] Shane Moore says: Jasmin has worked on our sound class, and gathering the sound files. She also wants to be the groups "tester"
[10:38:00 AM] Mike Kotsch says: the other german team members do coding to!
[10:39:28 AM] Shane Moore says: yeah, you guys are probably much better at coding than us, haha
[10:39:54 AM] Mike Kotsch says: how many carts do we need?
[10:40:31 AM] Mike Kotsch says: what about the two campuses *don't know the plural..*[10:41:03 AM] Shane Moore says: well, the way me and ron were looking at it, is we'd much rather have 1 cart and 1 driver, anda basic course at first... then depending on how long that takes, implement more drivers and carts.
[10:41:29 AM] Mike Kotsch says: yes, probably the right way
[10:41:33 AM] Shane Moore says: because by having just one cart and stuff we can start working on making the game work, and then we can worry about bringing more assets into the game.
[10:41:40 AM] Mike Kotsch says: concerning the 4 weeks we have to go
[10:41:45 AM] Shane Moore says: yeah
[10:42:14 AM] Mike Kotsch says: so is there any task for me?
[10:42:24 AM] Shane Moore says: so our focus on our end has been getting the game up and running as quick as possible, so that way we have something that runs.
[10:42:41 AM] Mike Kotsch says: i can not code *using a mac AND not having any idea of coding*
[10:42:47 AM] Shane Moore says: im not sure, what would you want to work on?
[10:42:59 AM] Mike Kotsch says: sound/ texture/ 3d
[10:43:08 AM] Mike Kotsch says: everything excepted coding
[10:43:37 AM] Mike Kotsch says: i can brew coffee -.-
[10:43:48 AM] Shane Moore says: okay, we still need some kind of menu music. And do you want to create a basic terrain/environment?
[10:44:05 AM] Mike Kotsch says: yeah, sounds good
[10:44:10 AM] Shane Moore says: maybe a basic circle course (im not sure how hard that will be though)
[10:44:33 AM] Mike Kotsch says: i'm starting...
[10:45:09 AM] Shane Moore says: okay, i have to go for a sec, i have to go to the classroom, ill be back on in like 10 mins
[10:46:37 AM] Mike Kotsch says: kk
[11:00:31 AM] Shane Moore says: okay im back
[11:14:24 AM] Shane Moore says: hows the model building going?
